Description

VTEX Orders Sync for WooCommerce is a free VTEX WooCommerce integration. VTEX powers enterprise commerce and marketplace operations across Latin America, Europe and beyond; if you also run a WooCommerce store — as a seller, a franchise, or the team that fulfils orders — this plugin brings VTEX orders into WooCommerce and completes the fulfilment cycle from wp-admin.

Orders are imported every 15 minutes, handling starts automatically, and when you ship, an invoice with courier and tracking is posted to VTEX — which is how VTEX marks an order shipped. Stock goes back to a VTEX warehouse every hour.

The problem it solves

VTEX’s order flow has steps that don’t exist in WooCommerce: an order must be moved from ready-for-handling into handling, and it only counts as shipped once an invoice is posted. Doing that in the VTEX admin while packing from WooCommerce is slow, and it’s easy to leave orders sitting in the wrong state.

This integration maps those steps onto the WooCommerce statuses your team already uses, and handles VTEX’s quirks — amounts in cents, three-letter country codes — so totals and addresses come through correctly.

How it works

1. In VTEX Admin, generate an Application Key with roles for reading orders and, for stock sync, managing inventory.
2. Enter your account name, App Key and App Token in WooCommerce → VTEX Sync and press Test connection.
3. Orders are imported every 15 minutes and, optionally, moved to handling on VTEX straight away.
4. Complete the order and an invoice with courier and tracking is posted to VTEX. Stock is pushed to your warehouse every hour.

• Invoices with tracking — Posts an Output invoice with courier, tracking number and tracking URL — the VTEX way of marking an order shipped.
• Updates tracking — Change tracking on an existing invoice at any time.
• Cancels on VTEX — Cancel in WooCommerce before invoicing and VTEX is updated.
• Hourly stock push — To a VTEX warehouse, resolving your SKU to the VTEX SKU ID via the catalogue RefId.
• Country codes converted — VTEX’s three-letter country codes become the two-letter codes WooCommerce expects (filterable).

Built to VTEX’s spec

Requests authenticate with X-VTEX-API-AppKey and X-VTEX-API-AppToken headers, exactly as VTEX specifies. Calls are rate-limit aware with exponential backoff, jobs run on Action Scheduler with a WP-Cron fallback, the plugin is HPOS-native, and the App Key and Token are stored encrypted and never logged.

Frequently asked questions

What is the VTEX account name?

The first part of your VTEX URL — for mystore.vtexcommercestable.com.br it is mystore. The environment defaults to vtexcommercestable.

How do I mark an order shipped on VTEX?

By invoicing it. VTEX has no separate ship call; an Output invoice moves the order on. The plugin does this when the order reaches your chosen status.

How are products matched?

By SKU against the VTEX RefId. Unmatched items import as placeholder lines with a warning note.

Why do I get a 401 or 403?

The App Key and Token don’t match, or the key lacks the roles needed — OMS for orders, Logistics for inventory.

Will it create duplicate orders?

No. Imports are keyed on the VTEX order ID.
